Brielle Day – Saturday September 9th, 2017
The Union Landing Historical Society of Brielle will again be participating in Brielle Day at Brielle Park on Union Lane. The Historical Society will have displays and will be selling sarsaparilla and other sodas, delicious homemade pumpkin bread, ice cream floats, water, books on Brielle history, and historical pictures of Brielle.
9/11 Ceremony – Sunday, September 10th, 2017 at 2:00 pm
Every year the ULHS of Brielle, honor and pay tribute to the sixteen families and friends in our local community who lost a loved one on September 11th, 2001.
The Union Landing Historical Society of Brielle will be holding a 9/11 ceremony on September 10th. The 9/11 ceremony will be led by ULHS Secretary Jim Ham and will include participants from Boy Scout Troop 63, Girl Scouts Cadet Troop 1917, and Brielle Fire Company #1, as well as Borough of Brielle Historian John Belding, Brielle’s Mayor Thomas Nicol, and Deacon Gary Pstrak. The ceremony will commence at 2:00 pm on Sunday at the 9/11 Memorial Park located at the corner of Riverview Drive and Birch Drive in Brielle.
